“This is possibly a new volume benchmark for any bike launch in this country,” claimed the company in a press release issued here on Monday.
Bajaj has already ramped up the production to 80,000 with the help of its Pantnagar capacity to meet the demand during the festive season. This super-fuel-efficient bike gives an on-road mileage of 80 km/litre on account of the ‘Digital Twin Spark - Swirl induction’ version 2.0 engine series that powers the bike, claims the company.
According to Bajaj CEO-2wheeler S Sridhar, “We have been overwhelmed by the customer response and in fact we are facing a shortage in stocks at some dealerships. The us mainly attributed to extremely favourable reviews and accolades from industry experts.”
