Tesla boss Elon Musk appears to have added another can of fuel to the fiery battle going on between him and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. The feud between Musk and Bezos, who have over the past few months jostled for the title of 'world's richest person' took a new turn on Wednesday.

A Washington Post article reported how the demands on Musk's time — from SpaceX, personal life, and his travel schedule — was affecting Tesla, leading to criticism from the management.

The story - which The Washington Post said was based on interviews of current and former Tesla employees and investors - received a terse response from the Tesla founder when the publication reached out for his comments.

A Business Insider report said that Musk, when contacted via email to offer his side of the story, responded with "Give my regards to your puppet master,.

Musk's "puppet master" remark seemed to hint towards none other than Bezos who owns The Washington Post. Bezos acquired the news organisation in 2013 for $250 million.

Musk and Bezos have also sparred when it comes to their space ambitions. Like Musk's SpaceX, Bezos too has a similar startup - Blue Origin.
