IIM-B wraps up annual fest Unmaad '21

The fest was star-studded as each year with performances by crowd favourites such as When Chai met Toast and the sensational Prateek Kuhad

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore wrapped up its three-day cultural fest Unmaad’21 on March 7, bringing along a refreshing change after what 2020 had to offer through its theme ‘Happiness Reloaded’.

The fest started with an online treasure hunt, a virtual expedition. Even though conducted online, Unmaad continued to be the grand extravaganza like every year and attracted colossal participation from across the country. The fest did not cease to grow and reached new participation in every nook and corner of the country with its plethora of flagship events. Among them were 'Footloose', a freestyle dance competition which invited dance troops from across the country; 'Haute Couture' inspired the budding fashion designers to showcase their talent; 'Mr and Ms Unmaad,' a personality contest for young men and women; B-school of Rock, where the best bands of India battle it out for the title and many more. Unmaad’21 also offered and received online participation in various events like Shades of Happiness, Bring Your Own Beats, Blend it Like Beckham, I am B-flat etc., an amalgamation of music, dance and art events that tantalise the inner creative.

This year also witnessed The World Cultural Fiesta, which made Unmaad truly international, with performances by renowned world artists to entertain a varied range of interests, including freestyle football, beatboxing, magic shows, and folk-rock banda. The speaker series, In the spotlight, this year attracted some renowned names like Sonu Nigam, Mimi Chakraborty, Abhinav Bindra, Amish Tripathi, Namit Das, Rasika Dugal, Ranveer Allahbadia and Harshita Gaur.

The fest was star-studded as every year with performances by singer Vivek Singh, dance group MJ5, tpopular stand-up comedian Kanan Gill, Bass Jackers for Sunburn campus finally wrapping up the three-day extravaganza by performances by much-loved band from Kochi, When Chai met Toast and the sensational Prateek Kuhad.
