Techie robbed at knifepoint in Madiwala

Two unidentified men riding a bike snatched the mobile phone and valuables from a techie near his home in Madiwala in the early hours of Sunday. Abhishek is a software engineer, employed with a private firm.

Around 2 am on Sunday, Abhishek was talking on his mobile phone when the two riders spotted him and asked him to hand over his mobile phone and wallet, brandishing a knife. They collected the valuables and fled the spot. Abhishek filed a complaint with the Madiwala police.

It has become a daily affair for small-time robbers to target software engineers in Madiwala and Koramangala, where most of the techies reside.
