Palike plays spoilsport at Vyalikaval

Many fun games such as giant wheel and toy-train have come up and all have been set up here by digging the ground mercilessly.

A huge marquee too has been established where every evening till late night cultural programmes are organised. Residents have a harrowing time with the loudspeakers in the fair.

This is the second major event in recent times. The residents recall that barely a few months ago a religious function was organised at the ground.

People, who had a tough time during the four-day religious programme, protested the BJP leaders’ move to hold Dasara Fair.

But they were allegedly threatened and forced to remain mute.
