Imagine shifts telecast time of 'Rakhi ka Insaaf'

"We have received an advisory from the I&B Ministry that requires us to shift the telecast timing of the programme `Rakhi Ka Insaaf'. We are complying with the Ministry's advice on this matter and changing the telecast time of the show to 11 pm," the channel said in a statement here tonight.

"We have already stopped all day time repeats of the programme and advised all news channels to refrain from carrying excerpts or clips of the show between 5 am and 11 pm, as directed by the Ministry," it said.

`Rakhi ka Insaaf' is aired every Saturday at 10 pm. The channel also said it has not challenged the Ministry's order in any court. "We would like to clarify that we have not challenged this order in any court."

Faced with numerous complaints from viewers and women's groups about allegedly indecent content, the Ministry had yesterday asked channels airing TV shows 'Big Boss' and 'Rakhi ka Insaaf' to air them only between 11 pm and 5 am.

Colors, which airs 'Big Boss' daily on prime time, today moved the Bombay High Court and got a stay order on the Centre's directive till November 22.
