Henceforth, you can get a peek into Dasara Exhibition at the click of the mouse. Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA) that has been hosting the exhibition every year beginning with ‘Naada Habba’ Dasara, has decided to launch an exclusive website.

Disclosing this to Deccan Herald Chief Executive Officer of KEA M V Hemanth Kumar said the new facility would be a reality within this year, as per the plans.

The work order on developing a website has been issued and an expert in the realm has already started on the job. It consists of all details related to the exhibition since it’s inception.

It was the then Maharaja Sri Chamaraja Wadiyar X who started the exhibition in 1880.
The aim was to give Mysoreans an opportunity to know about the timely achievements in the field of industries and agriculture.

Those interested in digging more into its history, have to wait for the website to be launched. It will be having a plethora of information-history that includes details of the departments which held reins of the exhibition before a separate authority was formed to look into the affairs, stalls available, facilities created for both traders and visitors, amusements, ‘rangamantapas’ to name a few.

Though website has become inevitable as a necessity, the authority intends to attract a huge number of visitors, making it highly popular among such exhibitions. The website also doubles up as a publicity engine, said Hemanth Kumar.

To ensure that the website stays for long with KEA, the authorities plan to make it compulsory for the developer to renew it, when necessary .

As and when the exhibition adds new facilities, it would be regularly updated on the website. However, they are yet to decide on web address, Hemanth Kumar added.

With this, the exhibition has finally woken up keeping in line with the necessity of surviving in a technology-driven world.

The website would be a boon to those who prefer to explore places on surfing, rather than going around physically.
