A student said that the hostel staff had asked all the students not to open their mouth on the reality in the hostel. If anyone informs the ZP officials, then the admission to the hostel would be cancelled.

The hostel inmates said: “We are not getting the food based on the menu in the notice board. The staff force us to go to our native on every Saturday. Breakfast and afternoon meals are not supplied on every Monday. They give us the left over food of afternoon. Banana is given to the inmates rarely.”

They said “if the inmates fall sick, then no medicines are provided. If we fall sick, then we have to visit our native and get cured and come back to the hostel.” After checking the attendance register, the ZP president realised that attendence for 200 students have been given on Shivaratri. However, only 30 students were present in the hostel on that day.
Though the ZP chief asked the Hostel Warden Indramma to come to the hostel, she did not turn up. Enraged over the incident, she directed ZP Chief Secretary to initiate discipline action against Indramma.  There was a verbal dual between BCM department Extension Officer Channappa Inglalli and TP EO Devaraj on the issue of ZP Chief visiting the hostels.
