At a national workshop on “Dedicated Plantation-based Biomass Power and Energy” here on Tuesday, he said a policy would help overcome the energy shortage. Considering the dangers associated with other forms of energy, notably nuclear, renewable sources of energy like biomass had to be encouraged.
