“I will continue these contacts with the objective of keeping on the need to advance the Round, including at the upcoming Trade Ministers’ meeting to be hosted by India and G20 leaders summit in Pittsburgh in September,” Lamy said in a statement posted on the (WTO) website.
Lamy is expected to play a referee’s role in his attempt to bridge the divide between the developing and developed countries on market opening that each side is willing to offer for reaching a deal.
