They along with some more persons, were allegedly selling ‘rice pulling’ mug which, they claimed, would enhance strength in front of the taluk office here on Wednesday night, when the police raided their vehicles. Suresh, Jagadish, Rajiv and Panchalaiah were arrested while others fled the scene.
They have been produced before the magistrate.
However, the police suspect that there is an organised network behind this racket and the prime accused are still at large. It was said they sold such ‘mugs with magical power’ for more than Rs 1 crore in Chennai and Bombay, said Circle Inspector Ramesh.
