Indian Bank's new zonal office at Hubli

Indian Bank CMD T M Bhasin, inaugurating the bank’s 50th ATM in Bangalore Zone at Bangalore City Railway Station, said, “We have decided to open a zonal office in Hubli for North Karnataka which has 37 branches, as per our expansion plan.”

The bank has also finalised its plan to open onsite ATMs on all 87 branches and 25 more offsite ATMs by March 2012, Bhasin added. The network of branches in Karnataka will go up from the present 87 to 100 and number of ATMs from 50 to 125 by the end of March 2012.

“Owing to public demand, Indian Bank has introduced gold coins in smaller sizes like 1 gm and 2 gm, along with higher denominations, for small savings customers. Senior citizens can avail gold loan facility from Rs 15,000 to Rs 5 lakh at 10 per cent interest rates at 55 exclusive gold dealing branches in India,” Bhasin said. He also said that the bank is planning for a follow up public offer of equity shares whose details will be announced in September 2011.

Railway Divisional Manager Bangalore Division S Mani, Indian Bank Bangalore City Branch AGM S Suresh and General Manger & Zonal Manager, Bangalore M Kathiresan were also present on the occasion.
