Girls kill youth for rape bid

Their courage, however, landed them in trouble after the police registered a case against them.

The youth, a resident of Baldiha village of the district and a distant relative of the girls, barged into their house on Wednesday night and tried to molest one of the sisters, who was sleeping on the roof of the house. As the girl shouted, her two other sisters, who were also sleeping near her, woke up and all of them caught the youth, identified as Rafique, pounced on him and thrashed him after tying him with a rope with the help of her brothers, sources said.

Rafique, who sustained serious injuries, was taken to a hospital by his family but was pronounced brought dead by the doctors.
