Traffic diversions on Sept 11-12

Deputy Commissioner Dr N V Prasad said that the diversion will be followed from 7 pm on September 11 to 8 am on September 12.

The people visiting to view the procession from Perumbadi-Virajpet route will have to park the vehicles on the private road in front of Virajpet Tahshildar’s office.

Vehicles coming from Makutta to Gonikoppa or going towards Siddapura will have to pass through Perumbadi check post-Balugodu-Bittangala junction-Kaikeri junction-C M Poonacha’s residence road and reach Palibetta-Siddapura.

Vehicles plying from Siddapura to Kerala should take Kaikeri-Bittangala-Balugodu-Perumbadi-Makutta route. Vhicles moving from Madikeri-Mysore-Bangalore will be made to take Gonikoppa-Mysore-Bangalore via Siddapura. Meanwhile vehicle moving from Siddapura to Virajpet will have to park near Maggula KSRTC stop.

Parking arrangements have been made on the left side of Panjarupet Sarvodaya College road for vehicles of those coming to view the procession from Gonikoppa side.

Those arriving at Virajpet taluk maidan to view the cultural programmes will have to park their vehicles on left side of Betoli public road. No vehicles will be allowed inside the maidan.

The vehicles coming into Madikeri from Mysore-Bangalore can move in from Gonikoppa-Siddapura route.

Prohibited

Parking has been banned on Telugara Beedi, Doddatti circle, FMC Road, Gadiyara Kamba, Malabar road, Gaurikere road, Meenupete road to Tahshildar office and from Doddatti circle to Panjarupet Sarvodaya college road from 7 pm on September 11 to 8 am on September 12.

Liquor banned

Meanwhile DC has banned sales of liquor in the taluk from September 10 mid night to 10 am on September 12 in wake of public Ganeshothsav celebrations.

The action has been taken to avert any untoward incident in the taluk during the celebration.
