Huge arms dump recovered near LoC in Poonch

 During a search operation, a joint team of army and police busted a militant hideout in forest area of Balakote, about 60-km from here in the border district of Poonch this afternoon, they said.

The recoveries from the hideout yielded one AK bullet action gun with 19 rounds, one AK-56 rifle with five magazines, four pistols with five rounds and four magazines, ten grenades, two wireless sets, 885 ak rounds, one ak magazine and two pouches, they said.

Security forces also busted another hideout in the forest area of Patri, about 80-kms from here, in the same district today, they said.

The recoveries from the hideout included one ak-56 rifle with 190 rounds and two magazines, five grenades, one pistol with seven rounds and one magazine, one telescopic gun and one anti-personnel mine, they said. The hideouts were later destroyed by the security forces, they said.
