Traffic restrictions for marathon

The Bangalore City Traffic Police have imposed restrictions on vehicular movement and parking for the annual marathon race ‘World 10K Bangalore - 2012’, organised on Sunday between 6:30 am and 11:00 am.

The marathon, which will be flagged off at Kanteerava Stadium, will pass through Kasturba Road, MG Road, Cubbon Road, Kamraj Road, Dickenson Road, Ulsoor Road, Queen’s Road, Ambedkar Street and roads inside Cubbon Park. Movement of vehicles and parking have been banned on these roads for the stipulated time.

Vehicles moving towards Vidhana Soudha and surrounding areas from JC Road will have to take KG Road - KR Circle route and join the Ambedkar Street. Vehicles on their way to MG Road from JC Road will have to take Hudson Circle-Mission Road-Richmond flyover route and join Residency Road.

Vehicles coming from Balekundri Circle have to take compulsory left and join Infantry Road. Vehicles will not be allowed into Cubbon Park.

Vehicles coming from MG Road will have no entry into BRV Road and have to either move straight or take a right turn. All vehicles coming from Domlur, Old Airport Road will be blocked at ASC Centre and will have to go through India Garage and join Richmond Road through D’Souza Circle.

Special arrangements have been made at UB City to provide parking space for those who participate in the marathon. Likewise, people coming to witness the event can park their vehicles at Banappa Park and CSI Compound on Mission Road and also on the left side of KG Road.
