Ruling BJP leaders in Karnataka today kept their fingers crossed as they awaited the decision of the party high command on leadership issue.

"A decision is likely in another five or six days. Whatever the decision the high command takes, we will all abide by it", state unit BJP President K S Eswarappa told reporters in Shimoga.

Exuding optimism about the BJP government completing its five year term, he said after the crisis was resolved, the government will give thrust to development works in the next ten months of its tenure.

Eswarappa, however, declined to divulge the details of talks the state leaders had with Central leadership including the party president Nitin Gadkari.

Rural Development Minister Jagadish Shettar, who is being propped up by the B S Yeddyurappa faction to replace Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, met Yeddyurappa and held talks with him on the emerging political developments.

Shettar said the party has been briefed on the crisis and they would abide by the high command decision.

In another development, Minister for Water Resources Basavaraj Bommai and Minister for Excise M P Renukacharya, known loyalists of Yeddyurappa, resumed their duties at Vidhana Soudha, the state secretariat, following they withdrawing their resignations.

Nine ministers, including Shettar, resigned from the ministry to press for replacing Gowda as chief minister last week and withdrew it on July two at the direction of the BJP central leadership.

With BJP central leadership still brooding over the options to end the political crisis that has been dogging the party and its government since it came to power in 2008, Gowda said he would accept whatever decision the party takes.

Speaking at a public function in Kolar today,Gowda listed the government's achievements in the last eleven months and said he had strived to give good governance.
