A grand affair

Wedding Planners

“We got around 12,000 visitors last year and are expecting the same turnout this year as well,” said Jivesh Sachdev, the organiser of the event. “The stalls set up here get high footfalls in their respective shops even after the event,” he added. “Besides, you can get the best of the best under one roof. That’s the charm of the show.”

The fair had stalls from not only Bangalore, but other cities as well. Besides, it covered every aspect of a wedding, not just bridal wear and jewellery, but premium brand watches, furnishings, honeymoon destinations, skin care products and bridal makeover to name a few. The jewellery on display included accessories in gold, diamond and platinum. Professionals associated with a marriage like florists, astrologers, mehendi artists and wedding planners were present to showcase their skills at the event.

“We have had a very good response,” said Bhakthan, manager of Neerus, the famous clothes store in Hyderabad that displayed traditional and fancy South Indian clothes. “This is the first time we are showcasing our products here,” said Kiran manning a jewellery stall. “We are hoping that people will come and check out our temple jewellery,” he added.  With festive season hitting the City, the exhibition provided a perfect reason for Bangaloreans  to shop. Men and women of different age groups were spotted looking for things of their choice excitedly. Sheetal Gupta, a shopper was keenly looking at the jewellery. Searching for a plain gold set, she said, “There is a variety of choices at the same place.”
