Deadline for registration of boring agencies extended

The Gurgaon administration has extended the last date for registration of boring agencies and their machines to August 11.

The previous deadline for the same was July 10.

District magistrate P C Meena had made it mandatory for all the drilling or boring agencies to get themselves and their machines registered with the district administration.

All the drilling or boring agencies, including those of government, semi-government as well as private, had to apply for registration to the ground water cell.

In the orders issued here on Monday, Meena again directed all the owners in possession of boring machines in the district to furnish their details to the cell immediately.

The details include name of the owner in possession of drilling machines with his permanent and present address, details of boring machine like make and model.

It has been clear in the orders that the unregistered boring or drilling machines will be considered as illegal.

The station house officers have been directed to lodge FIR against unregistered agencies which are found drilling.

The district magistrate also ordered the owners of boring machines and agencies to submit fortnightly report regarding work undertaken or otherwise to the cell.

Necessary checks will be carried out by all the concerned SHOs, tehsildars and by the teams already constituted for this purpose.

They have also been asked to submit their reports regarding the drive.
