Make your day with tricolour meals

The colours of freedom - saffron, white and green, make you feel rather patriotic. So, even though the Independence Day is over, its celebrations are still on with restaurants across the City serving dishes bearing in mind the Independence fervour.

If you missed it on August 15, don’t worry since Independence Day celebrations are on at Waves in Sarvodya Enclave with delicious and mouth watering lunch buffets being prepared specially, to tantalise tastes buds. Unlimited soups, mocktails, salads, veg and non-veg kebabs can be savoured with friends and family alongwith Purani Dilli ki chatpati chaat at Waves. One can also keep alive the national day spirit with sumptuous grilled cottage cheese mushrooms and capsicum served with sauces in tri colour.

There are some restaurants who are inviting food lovers with their special Tricolour naans and Trio Kulfi where mango, pista and malai create a delicious mix of orange, white and green at Ignis in Connaught Place. Even the pasta served at Infinity at Hiton, Mayur Vihar and tricolour pizza at Hilton give an Italian touch to the Indian freedom.

An exotic culinary assortment of continental cuisines for fine-dining experience are presented by the chefs and include dishes like Tricolour mocktail, Tricolour popos parmeson crusted soul, Chunky tricolour fruit sundaes among others at Halfway House in Kailash Colony market.

If this doesn’t sound sufficient then ditch the calorie count for the fantastic spread of desserts such as cakes, soufflés and mousse in tricolour which will add to the festive spirit. Chef Rakesh Puri at Waves says, “We have created special desserts such as the tricolour cake which has not just three different colours but also three different flavours in it to make sure that there is national bite coming into every citizen’s mouth.”
