St Aloysius bags I-Cup in fashion

St Aloysius College won the 16th edition of Independence Cup Football Tournament in the College section, here at Nehru Maidan on Wednesday.

 St Aloysius crushed Meridian College 2-0 in the final, in front of a crowd of more than thousand gathered on the day of Independence Day. Both the goals were scored by the Aloysius scoring machine Thousif.

Earlier, on the last day of the month-long tourney, St Aloysius P U College ‘A’ defeated its own ‘B’ team to win the I-Cup. In the High School section, Ullal Bharathi English Medium School routed St Joseph English Medium School 1-0.

Winners were given away prizes by Karavali Group of Colleges Founder Chairman Ganesh Rao, Union Bank of India AGM K P Acharya, Karnataka Bank GM Jayaram Hande, Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Mohammad Ameen, Vishwas Bawa Builders Managing Partner Rauf Puthige, A K Group Director A K Niyaz and Yojaka India Director Devadas Boloor.
