Throwing stone at house costs teen his life

14-yr-old beaten up over prank played by friend

A14-year-old boy was killed by some people at Sabai village in Sultanpur district on Tuesday allegedly for throwing a stone into their house. The victim is identified as Nand Kishore Sharma.

According to police, some boys were playing on a platform outside the house of Rajendra Chauhan. While playing, one of the boys allegedly threw a stone at Rajendra’s house.
When an enraged Rajendra came out to find out who had thrown the stone, he saw Nand Kishore sitting on the chabutara.

Assuming that he was the culprit, Rajendra started thrashing the teen even as he pleaded that he was innocence and that someone else had thrown the stone.

Rajendra was joined by his family members. The teen was allegedly hit with sticks several
times as a result of which he sustained serious injuries.
Unconscious

By the time the boy’s parents and family members arrived at the spot he was unconscious. The teenager was rushed to the district hospital where he succumbed to his injuries late on Tuesday night.

The station house in-charge V P Singh said a case had been registered against Rajendra, his wife and some others.

A few days back, a teen committed suicide after he was paraded in the village as a punishment for stealing a guava from an orchard in Ballia district.
The 10th standard student, hanged himself from the ceiling fan at his house.
In another incident, a teen was killed for plucking a mango from an orchard.
