Abhishek slams ton in St John's win

Abhishek’s hundred powered St John’s High School, Frazer Town to a 236-run victory over Sri Skanda Central School in the Dell-KSCA inter-school under-16 tournament (Division III).

Batting first, St John’s posted a mammoth 338/4 in 30 overs with Abhishek leading the way with 144 and supported by half-centuries from Sabrinathan (59) and Darshan (50). Hemanth picked up a couple of wickets for Sri Skanda.

Chasing a huge 339 for a win, Sri Skanda were bundled out for 102 in 24 overs. For St John’s, Tanish picked up three wickets for nine runs while Caleb claimed two wickets for just five runs.

St Ann’s High School: 171 all out in 28.1 overs (Shyam 26, Mehul 51; Krishnamurthy 2-19, Akshay Bharadwaj 5-33, Vasudev Rao 2-22) lt to Seshadripuram High School: 172/2 in 23.4 overs (P Praveen 85 n.o., Akash Bharadwaj 36, Vasudev Rao 35 n.o.). Vidya Vardhaka Sangha School: 137 all out in 29.1 overs (Rakesh SG 53; Praveera 3-27, Siddarth 2-19, Raghava 3-29) lt to Venkat International School: 140/7 in 20.2 overs (Tejas BJ 34, Chella Muthu 34 n.o.; Rakesh SG 3-32).

Abbas, Sachin shine
Half-centuries from Kyan Abbas (66) and Lal Sachin (71) helped Bangalore Zone end day one of the inter-zonal tournament (U-19) final against President’s XI at 250/5 in 98 overs.
