For the first time in India, Disney is going to hold an event called the ‘Disney Princess Academy’ later this month.

‘Disney Princess Academy’ is a one-day event, in which young girls aged between three and ten years will get a chance to live their dreams and be princesses. Selected participants will receive a Disney Princess dress, inviting them and their mothers to be a part of the ‘Disney Princess Academy’. The girls will wear their dresses and go to the venue, where they will be welcomed in style and actually be treated like royalty.

Roshini Bakshi, managing director, DCP, retail and publishing, Disney UTV, says, “Whether it’s Cinderella, Snow White or Rapunzel, little girls all around the world have idealised these princesses and aspire to be like them.

We are thrilled to bring the magical experiences of Disney princesses and their stories alive through the ‘Disney Princess Academy’ for all the little princesses across the country.”

The academy will emphasise the point that being a princess is not just about looking beautiful, but also has to do with having the right set of values. Roshini says, “At the ‘Disney Princess Academy’, the children will be taught the importance of values such as honesty, compassion, intelligence, kindness, beauty and grace to be a great princess.”

Interested children can participate in the various contests.  A total of 360 girls will get a chance to be a part of this academy from Bangalore.
