PM to visit Japan, Cambodia

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Japan and Cambodia from November 15 to 20.

The first leg of the visit will cover Tokyo from November 15 to 18 at the invitation of his Japanese counterpart Yoshihiko Noda.

During the visit, the two PMs will discuss bilateral, regional and global issues.

Singh will have meetings with other leaders in the country besides holding discussions with Japanese and Indian business leaders during the visit.

The annual summit of the Prime Ministers is expected to further enhance and strengthen the strategic and global partnership between the two countries.

The PM and his wife Gurusharan Kaur will be received in audience by the Emperor and Empress of Japan.

On the second leg of his tour, Prime Minister will visit Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from November 18 to 20 to attend the 10th ASEAN-India Summit and 7thEast Asia Summit.

ASEAN and India are marking 20 years of their dialogue partnership and 10 years of annual Summit-level partnership this year. The ASEAN-India Summit will review our relations since the last Summit in Bali, Indonesia in 2011. The leaders will also discuss the Special ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit which India will host on December 20 and 21 in New Delhi.
