Use of title by French woman flayed

The Royal Family of Awadh and the descendants of Wajid Ali Shah have declared that they will strongly oppose Fay’s visit to the city on Thursday next week.“The use of name of Awadh Royalty tantamounts to a cultural fraud”, the president of Royal Family of Awadh Nawab Ibrahim Ali Khan told Deccan Herald here on Tuesday.

He dared Fay to disclose the name of her husband, who she claims is the great grandson of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah and had died. “We strongly oppose the use of the title of Princess by her,” Khan said.He said that a protest had already been lodged with the French Embassy on the use of the title of Princess by her.Fay is arriving here to join a cleanliness drive in association with Lucknow University’s Tourism Department. The varsity officials saidFay Ary would lead the cleanliness drive to be carried out in slums.
