Inspired by real story

The soft-spoken, sensitive director was moved by his friend’s story and decided to convert it into a screenplay when the friend said, “Make a film out of my story.” Embarrassed to be starting a film full of positive and fresh vibes at a time of distress and devastation, Shashank focused on the work at hand, promising to reveal the identity of his friend at the time of the film’s release.

What’s more, Shashank’s mystery friend will also reveal the real climax of his real story then. Ajay Rao and Radhika Pandit play neighbours in the film. Ajay was pleased to have been a part of the rehearsals and reading, akin to a theatre production. For Radhika, this role of a middle-class girl is another step in her growth as an actress.

A role that requires both physical and mental strength, Radhika has trailed middle class girls in the markets and observed how the girls fight for their share of water from the corporation tap on the roadside. It’s a departure from the soft, sophisticated roles she has done so far.

Shashank has selected Mussanje Maatu’s V Sridhar to compose tunes for him and Shekhar Chandra for the cinematography. Krishnan Love Story is getting developed across the City right now.
