Tulu Siri to host convention on Feb 24

To impress upon the Centre to include Tulu language in the eighth schedule of the Indian Constitution, “Delhi Tulu Siri”, world Tulu language convention will be held in the national capital on February 24.

Event executive committee chairman Ramamohan Rao said the meet will showcase Tulu language and its rich culture. Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas M Veerappa Moily, Minister for Labour and Employment Mallikarjuna Kharge, Minister for Minority Affairs K Rahman Khan, Minister for Micro and Small Industries K H Muniyappa and former Union Minister Oscar Fernandes will participate in the function.

This year’s event will be third edition of the convention with the first and second editions being held in 1993 and 2003 respectively.
