Raids on KPSC scam accused continue

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday continued to raid the offices of eight officials alleged to be involved in the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) recruitment scam.

Around five teams conducted the simultaneous raids on the offices of Gonal Bheemappa, former KPSC chairman; Sundari, secretary and

Dr Mangala Sridhar, Arunachalam, Ashok Kumar, Somanath and Rajashekhar (all members) at the KPSC headquarters, Udyoga Soudha, from 10 am to 5 pm.

The teams were led by Deputy Inspector General of Police (CID), Soumendu Mukherjee, and consisted of three Superintendents of Police (SPs) and more than 20 officers of various ranks.

The sleuths confiscated several computers and documents with “vital” information from the KPSC office, a source said. Besides, the team claims of recovering “substantial” evidence from the Malleswaram office of the Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), S Sudhir.

The CID has asked the aggrieved KPSC candidates and the general public to bring to its notice any complaint or proof of malpractice against the accused officers on the following phone numbers:
