The High Court of Karnataka on Wednesday directed the commissioner of Bangalore Development Authority, chairperson of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board and BWSSB authorities to inspect the raja kaluve (stormwater drain) at Kalena Agrahara near JP Nagar to prevent sewage from flowing into the drain.
Justice Huluvadi G Ramesh directed the civic agencies to visit the spot on July 21 and submit a report to the Court on July 29.
Proceedings quashed
The court has quashed the proceedings against IAS officer M K Aiyappa, pending before the Special Lokayukta Court in connection with the irregularities in Vinayaka House Building Co-operative Society. Markandayya S Gombe had complained that revenue officials created false documents in connection with a property acquired for the Society.
