Shreyas, Udit help Swastic grab vital lead

A superb century by Shreyas Gopal helped Swastic Union CC (1) gain a crucial first innings lead and three points against Friends Union CC (1) in the KSCA Group I Division I league for the Sir Mirza Ismail Shield.

Batting first, Gopal’s 182 helped Swastic to 370/9 in the alloted 90 overs. Chasing that total, Friends Union fell short by 13 runs, getting bowled out for 357 in 77.5 overs. Suneel Raju top scored for them with 98. Swastic’s offie Udit Patel also played a key role in restricting Friends Union with a fine six-wicket haul.
