France in the City

There will be a series of exhibitions, concerts, literary meetings, film festivals, debates, conferences, food festivals, economic, educational and scientific exchanges. The programme will bring together 30 French scientists from public and private research institutions. Music concerts by Ziskakan, Nathalie Natiembé, Awek, China Moses and Dobet Gnahore, and the lyric opera concert by Marion Baglan have been lined up through the months.

Among the highlights of the festival are Mayyakam Oxymore, an artistic and cultural merging of traditional art and new technologies of dance, painting and music from France. Isabelle Anna, a non-Indian will perform Kathak in four acts swaying from the traditional expression to cutting edge of Kathak. “What the City will get to see is a multicultural, rejuvenated, young, dynamic side of France,” said H E Jerome Bonnafont, Ambassador of France to India during a press meet.

The festival will begin in Bangalore on December 5 and will be held at ten different locations across the City.
