First mobile kiosk for water bills

This makes it the 74th kiosk catering to collection of water bills. It is attached to a BWSSB tempo, painted with slogans urging the public to opt for rainwater harvesting.
Its objective is to ensure regular payment of monthly borewell charges of Rs 50 per household in newly-added BBMP areas. This will help the board to earn a revenue of Rs one crore annually, for the maintenance of borewells, a BWSSB official said.

BWSSB Chairperson, P B Ramamurthy, who inaugurated the kiosk, said it will cater to consumers of both Yelahanka and Byatarayanapura areas. Public will be informed about its arrival and venue in advance.
