Ten persons have been nabbed in Jodhpur and Sikar in Rajasthan over the last two days for allegedly holding several meetings with three of the IM suspects recently arrested from the state, according to a Delhi Police officer.

The arrests were made by Rajasthan Police following a tip-off by their Delhi counterparts, the Special Cell officer said..

The officer said the arrested Indian Mujahideen suspects had identified 11 youths, all aged between 20 and 25, and roped them into the Rajasthan module of the outfit.

However, only one of the 11 youths was found involved in making bombs. He has been identified as Barkat, arrested from Jodhpur. Explosives were seized from him..

The revelation was made by the three suspects Mahruf, Waqar and Shaquib, currently in police remand.

“They identified like-minded people of their age group and shared their thoughts on Jihad,” said the officer.

Though the youths were allegedly told to be prepared for further course of action, they had not taken part in any such activity. Five of these youths belonged to Jodhpur while six others were from Sikar. Five each have been arrested from the two locations.

While Delhi Police is not yet seeking to bring them to Delhi, the demand can be made if anything related to Delhi crops up during the investigation.

In all, five suspected IM members, including their India leader Tehseen Akhta alias Monu, have been arrested over the last one week. Four of them were nabbed from different locations in Rajasthan.
