Last glimpses of the legend

The trailer of upcoming Telugu family-drama Manam, which was unve­iled on the occasion of Ramanavami, gives the audience one last glimpse of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), who passed away recently.

Manam is Nageswara Rao’s last film, which also features his son Akkineni Nagarjuna and grandson Akkineni Naga Chaitanya. The trailer opens with a voiceover of ANR and ends with a close-up of the actor, who has essayed an important role in the film.

Going by the trailer, the film looks like a family entertainer coupled with an element of mystery.  Although produced by Nagarjuna under his home banner Annapurna Studios, Manam is being promoted as a film by 'The Akkineni Family'.

The family wants Manam to be a befitting farewell to Nageswara Rao. With some patchwork left to be completed, the film is slated for release in May. It also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Shriya Saran in important roles.
