Twitter officials meet police

The Twitter India authorities met the Bengaluru police on Tuesday and shared the information sought by them.

The Twitter officials met DCP (Crime) Abhishek Goyal and discussed the notice issued to them by the City police seeking information, subsequent to Mehdi’s arrest.

Speaking with Deccan Herald, M N Reddi, City Commissioner of Police, said: “The Twitter authorities have responded positively to the notice that was served under Section 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code (summons to produce document or other thing).

“They have provided substantial information sought by the police. The City police will continue to be in touch with them.”
