Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Jagadish Shettar has said that his party members will reiterate the demand for banning Popular Front of India (PFI) on the floor of the lower house.

Replying to a query during an interaction with media persons here on Saturday, Shettar said that the State government’s reluctance to ban the PFI only goes to show its anti-Hindu stand.

The Congress-led government in the State had continued its minority appeasement politics.
Instigated violence

The ruling Congress is well aware of the fact that the PFI activists instigated violence during the Unity March in the city on February 19. But it is was not ready to ban the outfit.
This is the best example for its pro-minority stand, Shettar alleged.

The former chief minister also clarified that the BJP has no agenda of appeasing Hindus as Congress leaders claim. It’s not a question of Hindus alone, there is no protection for the people belonging to all faiths in the State.

Women in Bengaluru are not safe. This clearly indicates that the government has failed to maintain law and order in the State, he alleged.
