Cong calls meeting of City MLAs, ministers

The Congress party has convened a meeting of its Bengaluru City MLAs and ministers on April 11 to discuss the preparedness for facing the BBMP election as and when it is held.

Party general secretary Boseraj said on Wednesday that Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president G Parameshwara will chair the meeting.

To a question whether the party would seek postponement ofthe election, he said, “The government will take a decision in its wisdom. But the party should be making preparations for facing the polls. Hence, we have convened a meeting.”

He said the party president was planning to convene a separate meeting to discuss the gram panchayat elections.
