Vehicles banned inside Cubbon Park on Sundays

Movement of vehicles will be banned inside Cubbon Park on Sundays and the following traffic arrangements will be made.

The Cubbon Park traffic police will impose the restrictions on an experimental basis on May 24 between 8 am and 10 pm. The decision to ban vehicular entry inside the park was taken to facilitate the large number of elderly persons, women and children who come to the park on Sundays.
n Vehicles moving from Queen’s Circle to KR Circle through Cubbon Park will be restricted at Queen’s Circle. The vehicles can move on to CTO Circle, take a left turn at Police Thimmaiah Circle towards Dr Ambedkar Road, KR Circle and Vidhana Soudha.

n Vehicles from UB City will be restricted at Siddalingaiah Circle. These vehicles can ply on Kasturba Road, Queen’s Circle, CTO Circle, take a left turn at Police Thimmaiah Circle towards Dr Ambedkar Road, KR Road and Vidhana Soudha.

n Vehicles plying from KR Circle towards Siddalingaiah Circle will be restricted at KR Circle. They can ply on Nrupatunga Road, Police Corner, Kasturba Road towards Siddalingaiah Circle or towards Dr Ambedkar Road, KR Road and Vidhana Soudha.n Vehicles from Hudson Circle will be restricted at Hudson Circle. They can ply on Kasturba Road, Siddalingaiah Circle and Queen’s Circle.

n Vehicles entering Cubbon Park through Gopala Gowda Circle will be restricted at the Gopala Gowda Circle. They can ply further using KR Circle.

Parking facilities for those visiting the park or the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum will be provided in the following locations: n Four wheelers and two-wheelers can be parked on King’s Road, on the east side of the stretch between Bal Bhavan Road Junction and King Edward Statue.

n Tempo travelers, four-wheelers and two-wheelers visiting the museum can park their vehicles at the parking lot in Cubbon Park behind the museum.

n Deputy director of Horticulture Department can be contacted for parking facility and vehicular movement during special events planned on Sundays inside the Cubbon Park.
