With a whole lot of love

Located in the hotspot of eateries — Koramangala — opposite Jyoti Nivas College is where one can find a cosy and warm cafe called ‘A Hole Lotta Love’. The sister cafe of ‘Hole in the Wall’, it is owned by Nathan Harris, Lynn D’costa and Rhea D’costa and was started in December last year.

This cafe mostly sees the college crowd stepping in yet there is a flock of professionals during weekends for a wholesome breakfast.

“On weekends, it usually turns out to be a breakfast place with a lot of people walking in to relish our American breakfast that consists of bacon, sausages, different types of eggs, baked beans, pancakes, etc. During the weekdays, it is however more of a lunch and dinner place. Everything one finds here is home-made, fresh and just out of the oven,” says Rhea.

The cafe has an open library where customers are encouraged to give away books that they don’t need. There are also some board games that are free to be used by anyone while one enjoys their food with friends or simply reads a book while spending some quality time with oneself.

Some of the popular items on the menu are the ‘chicken cheese burger’, ‘chilli chicken burger’, ‘chilli paneer burger’, sandwiches, ‘chicken pasta’ and ‘waffles with strawberries and fresh cream’.

“We have got great reviews for our burgers and pastas, also many of our customers love sipping on our smoothies and cold coffee. A lot of times, especially on lazy Sunday mornings, we have had people coming in for our wholesome breakfast that is fresh and healthy,” adds Rhea.

 The ambience is quirky yet warm and cosy, the lighting is bright and it complements the yellow interiors of the cafe. The walls are decorated with paintings that are for sale; broken window panes are used to hang quotes and doodles and attract the attention of the customers. The soothing music that is played adds to the whole essence of the cafe.  

The menu is interestingly segmented into ‘veggie  sandwiches’, ‘veggie sides’, ‘meat-the-sandwich’, ‘meaty sides’, ‘burgers-in-the-hole’, ‘what the...? omelette’, ‘waffles and pancakes’, ‘beverages’ and ‘breakfast’.

“We call it ‘A Hole Lotta Love’ because everything we make and bake is presented on the table with love, we treat this cafe as our home and we like to take care of our guests,” explains Rhea.
