Police medals to be awarded on I-Day

Three senior IPS officers serving in Bengaluru will be awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service on the occasion of Independence Day, while 17 other officers from across the State have been selected for the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

The three officers from Bengaluru who have been selected for President`s Police Medal include Bhaskar Rao, ADGP, (DCRE), B N S Reddy, Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration) and K Eshwar Prasad, DCP (VVIP Security), Bengaluru.

Officers selected for Police Medal include: Hemanth Nimbalkar, DIGP (CID), Umesh S K ACP (Vijayanagar sub-division), Bengaluru , M S Indushekhar, SP and Principal KSPTS, Channapatna, Shivakumaraiah, ACP (CAR), Mysuru, CW Poovaiah, DySP, (Kushal Nagar sub-division), Kodagu district, Balegowda, PI (Tilak Park Circle), Tumkur district, K Ajay Kumar, PI (W), Police Wireless Training School, Bengaluru, SV Chikkaramaswamy, PSI (W), M I Gopala Krishna, PSI (W), both Central Technical Stores, Bengaluru, R Venka-tesh Murthy ASI (CID), Bengaluru, N Veerupaksha, ASI (Mallandur PS), Chikka-mgaluru district, HR Vishwanath, ASI (Kadur PS), Chikkamgaluru district, DM Pachapur, Special ARSI (IRB) Munirabad, HV Vasudeva Rao, HC (State Intelligence), Bengaluru, Azam, HC (Loka-yukta), Raichur, PA Palangappa, HC-38, 5th battalion (KSRP), Mysuru and K R Purushottam, HC-82, 7th battalion (KSRP), Mangaluru.

The Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service has been awarded to Srinivasamurthy M, Senior Platoon Commander (HG),  Shankar Rao P, Senior Platoon Commander (HG) and Rajanna Muddumallappa, Instructor (HG), while the President’s Fire Service Medal For Distinguished Service was awarded to Markandeya N R, Chief Fire Officer. The Fire Service Medal For Meritorious Service has been awarded to Gurulingaiah C, Regional Fire Officer, Obayya Moolya S, District Fire Officer, Channappa, Fire Station Officer and BashaSaheb, painter.
