Deadline extended for Kempegowda layout sites

The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has extended the last date for submitting applications along with prescribed the initial deposit, for allotment of sites in Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout, till January 18, 2016.

However, the last date for registration for allotments and sale of applications at nationalised banks is December 31. There will be no registration and sale of applications after the said date.

The decision to extend the date has been taken in the wake of the increasing public demand. People are advised to purchase applications on or before December 31 and submit applications with the initial deposit amount on or before January 18, according to an official release from BDA. 

BDA invited applications from people for the formation of 5,000 sites in the first phase of the layout formation from November 1.

Kempegowda Layout is located between Mysuru Road and Magadi Road covering areas near Nice Road and Kengeri. It borders Visvesvaraya Layout which stretches from areas close to Kengeri, Ullal and Malathahalli.

The sites cost Rs 1,800 per sq ft for a 20x30 site and the economically weaker sections Rs 900 per sq ft. For a 30x40 site, the rate has been fixed at Rs 2,000 per sq ft, which works out to Rs 24 lakh.

For a 40x60 site, the rate is Rs 2,200 per sq ft, which means the site will cost Rs 52.8 lakh. For a 50x80 site, the rate is Rs 2,500 which works out to Rs one crore.
