Last Updated 11 January 2016, 17:07 IST

After a gap of nearly five years, sports broadcaster ESPN is ready with its comeback into India. ESPN, the leading sports entertainment company, has collaborated with Sony Pictures Network, and will be launching two new channels — SONY ESPN and SONY ESPN HD — that will go live on January 17, 2016.

The SONY ESPN channels will kick-off their sporting calendar with the live broadcast of the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open.

The collaboration between SPN and ESPN will also see the launch of a new multisport digital website and application that will complement the SONY ESPN channels, as well as the existing leadership of ESPNcricinfo and Sony LIV’s digital offerings.
