In support of helmet for pillion rider rule, City-based Baldwin Methodist College has decided not to allow any biker to enter the college premises if pillion rider does not wear helmet.
With this message, the students also took out a bike rally creating awareness about the new rule here in the City on Tuesday.
“We have launched a campaign to let inside a biker only if both biker and pillion are wearing helmets. It is to bring seriousness about the importance of the new rule and not for the sake of escaping paying penalty. Although helmets are made compulsory, we still find bike riders driving without helmets, leave alone the pillions. Sometimes, helmets are life saviours”, college principal Joshua Samuel told the students.
