Motorcyclist run over by goods truck in Nagarabhavi

A motorcyclist was killed on the spot after he came under the front wheel of a goods truck in Nagarabhavi on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Pappu Singh, 39, a resident of Mailansandra near Bannerghatta.

He was a construction worker and was returning from Magadi Road when the accident occurred around 12.30 pm, said the police. Singh collided with a car beneath the Nagarabhavi flyover. He was tossed up in the air and fell down.

The goods truck driver, who was following the car, failed to control the truck which ran over Singh’s head. The car driver fled the spot after the accident, added the police.

Driver detained

The police seized the good truck and detained its driver Mujahid. The CCTV cameras in the area have captured the image of the car and the police are searching for its owner based on the registration number.
