Actor's death: cops to seek footage from film crew

Family members of the deceased junior artiste Padmavathi have lodged a complaint in connection with her mysterious death after she fell off an under-construction building in Avalahalli, Rajanakunte on Monday.

Padmavathi had fallen into the lift shaft and her body was found lying in a pool of blood at the basement when people started searching for her in the evening.

According to the police, the production crew had left the spot when the incident came to light.

“Our preliminary enquiries revealed that the incident spot, with huge under-construction buildings and workers, was part of the movie frame,” said a senior police officer.  The officer added that since no one knew when or how the incident happened, responsibility could not be fixed.

“However, we have taken up a case against two to three unknown people. We will ask for camera recordings from the film crew and others who were present at the time of the incident,” said the officer.
