Kumaraswamy in hospital with fever, cough

JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy has been hospitalised in Bengaluru. He has been unwell since Thursday and may stay in the hospital for a couple of days.

Kumaraswamy, who was admitted to the Vikram Hospital on Friday, has said he is suffering from fever and cough as he was touring last week. Bursting of crackers by his followers in public meetings has led to health complications, he added.

He said doctors have advised him rest for the next four to five days and hence, he would not be attending public functions for some time.

Addressing reporters, Dr K S Satish, consultant pulmonologist and chest physician of the hospital, said Kumaraswamy has flu and chest congestion. “He is on antibiotics and responding well.”
