Biddatanda Cup Day 9: Kalumadanda win 4-0 against Baduvanda

Kalumadanda team blanked Baduvanda 4-0 in a lop-sided match at the Kodava family hockey Biddatanda Cup tournament at the General K S Thimmayya Stadium at Cheriyaparambu on Tuesday.

Changappa, Ayyappa, Thimmaiah and Somanna took the Kalumadanda team to victory by scoring the goals.
The Aramanamada team, riding on a good performance by Ajay (2 goals), Naveen, Jaggu, Niran and Naveen, thrashed Kocchera 6-1. Similarly, Madanda registered a victory over Bachamanda 1-0. Cheppudira produced a clinical effort in their 5-0 victory against Nandetira.

In another thrilling match, Puliyanda edged past Deyanda 3-2. Ashis Ayyappa, Ponnanna and Deepak scored goals for Puliyanda. Chowreera had an easy outing against Mundyoland 1-0 while Mukkateera defeated Chiyakapoovanda 1-0. Seethan and Sachin Muthanna of Bovveriyanda drubbed Thathanda 2-0. Kummanda beat Hanchettira 2-0.

It was boy Ajjetira Ponnanna who took his team to victory against Cheriyamada 1-0. Although the Bacharaniyanda team lost to Madeyanda, the 89-year-old Nanaiah who played for Bacharaniyanda won the spectators’ heart.
