CM's son nominated to housing panel

The state government has nominated Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son, Dr Yathindra, as the chairman of Varuna Assembly constituency Housing Programmes Awareness Committee. The post is usually meant for MLAs as he or she is responsible for the implementation of all housing schemes and projects in the respective constituency.

However, there are examples of the MLAs asking the government to nominate somebody close to them, if they are not able to monitor the activities of the committee regularly.

Acting on the directions of the governor, Undersecretary-II to Housing department, C S Shivakumaraswamy, has issued the order of Yathindra’s nomination, on April 24.
