JOIN USThe CCB sleuths arrested 12 persons who were indulged in gambling at Mucchilakodi in Konaje Police Station jurisdiction.
The arrested are Ganesh (38), Tilak (28), Prasad (38), Jayaraj (27), Jayaraj (26), Lokesh (32), Keshav (27), Das (26), Naveen Kumar (26), Rohith (27), Ranjith (29) and Sharath Raj (25). The police have seized Rs 22,485 and cards from the arrested.
2-wheeler rider killed
A two-wheeler rider was killed in a collision between a lorry and the two-wheeler at Bedrodi in Bajathooru on Sunday. The deceased is Poovappa Gowda (44), a resident of Kokkada.
Rs 6.5 gold, cash stolen
Unidentified miscreants stole gold and cash worth Rs 6.5 lakh at Kokkarne in Brahmavar.
According to police, the miscreants ransacked the house of Baby Poojarthy between October 11 and 12 and have stolen gold worth Rs six lakh and Rs 50,000 in cash. A case has been registered at Brahmavar police station.
